Roma Women’s Alternative VNR Report: Moldova’s Progress Toward Agenda 2030
Financing for Development Conference in Seville, Spain 30 June – 3 July 2025
While official government reports highlight broad national progress, the lived reality for marginalized communities tells a different story. Produced by the Roma Women's Platform “ROMNI,” this critical alternative report provides an independent assessment of Moldova's 2030 Agenda implementation. It brings to light the severe, intersectional discrimination faced by Roma women, children, and Ukrainian refugees across critical sectors: education, health, housing, and the economy. Serving as a vital monitoring tool for the 2026 VNR process, the report outlines concrete recommendations—from robust anti-discrimination laws to the expansion of community mediators—challenging the state to ensure its path toward the SDGs is grounded in genuine equality.
